I got this email scam and It almost make me believe that this is legitimate claim, good things that I have some knowledge in domaining and have some basic ideas in domain name registration and trademark.

I really doubt about this email so I re-search on web and I find almost similar post and question regarding this scam.

Here the email scam, I remove their URL and some information not because I’m afraid, I just don’t want to give them key word on my website where basically one of their tactic.

I really doubt that in some matters my domain name extension is still free to register.

Dear Manager:

This email is from Country domain name registration center, which mainly deal with the domain name registration and dispute internationally in Country and Asia.
On February 21st 2011, We received ABC company’s application that they are registering the name ” timepers ” as their Internet Keyword and ” timepers .cn “、” timepers .com.cn ” 、” timepers .asia “domain names etc.., It is Country and ASIA domain names. But after auditing we found the brand name been used by your company. As the domain name registrar in Country, it is our duty to notice you, so I am sending you this Email to check. According to the principle in Country, your company is the owner of the trademark, In our auditing time we can keep the domain names safe for you firstly, but our audit period is limited, if you object the third party application these domain names and need to protect the brand in country and Asia by yourself, please let the responsible officer contact us as soon as possible. Thank you!
